Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
This policy explains what HSMG Services & Consulting Inc. ("we") collects when you use TTSMP3, and what we do with it.
Text you convert
Text you submit is processed on our own servers and is not sent to any outside speech or AI service. The audio file is deleted after 48 hours, or after 30 days without a listen for the website player.
For security, abuse prevention and to improve the service, we keep a record of each conversion: the text you submitted, your IP address, the time, the language and voice, your browser type, and your account if you are signed in. These records are kept for 90 days and then deleted. They are not sold or shared, except where the law requires it. Please don't submit text containing sensitive personal information.
Accounts
If you create an account we store your email address, a securely hashed password, your plan, and how many characters you have used each month.
If you save a recording to your account, we keep its audio, its text and the voice settings until you delete it or close your account.
Contact form
When you use the contact form we keep your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), message and IP address so we can reply and prevent spam.
Phone app
The TTSMP3 app for Android and iPhone sends your text to our servers in the same way as the website. When you log in, a sign-in token is kept in your phone's secure storage. The app has no advertising or tracking, and does not use your microphone, contacts or location.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive your full card number. Stripe shares with us your customer id, subscription status and billing country. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Usage and security data
To enforce limits we also keep a count of characters converted per day for each visitor, and short-lived request counts. We use a cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, roughly where visitors are from, the type of device, and which features are used (for example the language and voice of a conversion, but never the text itself). Google Analytics sets its own cookies and shortens IP addresses before storing them. We do not use it for advertising. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
The website player
When a reader uses the player on another website, that page's article text is sent to us to make the audio. We also record which page and website the player was used on. Our WordPress plugin tells us, once a day, the address of the site it is installed on and the plugin and WordPress versions. That website's owner is responsible for telling their readers.
Your choices
When you delete your account, it is closed right away and its data is kept for 90 days so it can be restored if you change your mind, then deleted permanently. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account information at any time by emailing support@ttsmp3.ca.
